Privacy Policy

No Contact ("we," "us") operates the website nocontact.com and the No Contact iPhone app. This policy explains what we collect, which is very little, and how it is handled.

The website

The website is educational content. We do not sell your personal information. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. If you email us, we keep that email to reply to you.

The app

The No Contact app has no account and no sign-in. What you enter is stored on your device: your start date and day count, journal check-ins, urge logs, reasons, your optional name, and a count of which tools you used. We do not upload the content of your journal, your reasons, or your check-ins to our servers.

Text you write in the "Into the Void" tool is never saved, not even on your device. It exists only on screen until you release it.

We may use analytics or crash-reporting services to understand how the app is used and to fix problems, for example which screens are opened or whether a crash occurred. Any such data is aggregated or tied to a random identifier, not to your name, and never includes the text of your journal, reasons, or messages.

Like any app data, what the app stores may be included in your device's iCloud or computer backups. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

The app can show a local notification on the morning of a milestone day, scheduled on your phone. You can turn it off in Settings. The app may also ask you to rate it; that prompt is shown by Apple.

You can remove everything the app stores at any time by deleting the app.

Children

No Contact is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
